The Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip continues relentlessly, with no prospect of a ceasefire agreement. The Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip announced the killing of at least 18 people during the night and early Monday morning, including 10 who died in an airstrike on a house in the central Gaza Strip.

A medical source at Al-Awda Hospital confirmed that “the number of martyrs has risen to 10 and 15 injured in a missile attack on the Al-Qassas family home in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.”

According to Agence France-Presse, six people were killed in a second airstrike overnight on a home belonging to the Basal family in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City, said Mahmoud Basal, a spokesman for the civil defense in the Gaza Strip.

In a separate raid, the Civil Defense said: “Two martyrs and a number of wounded were killed in an Israeli missile attack that targeted the Abu Shaar family’s house north of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip. They were transferred to the European Gaza Hospital in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.”

The war in Gaza erupted after an unprecedented attack by Hamas on southern Israel, killing 1,205 people on the Israeli side, according to a count by Agence France-Presse based on official Israeli data. This number includes hostages who died while being held in the Gaza Strip.

During the attack, 251 people were kidnapped, 97 of whom are still being held, including 33 who the military says were killed. Israel responded with a bombing campaign and a ground assault on Gaza, which left at least 41,000 dead, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.

In the West Bank, Israeli settlers stormed Arab al-Kaabneh Elementary School in the Ma’arjat area northwest of Jericho in the West Bank on Monday and assaulted students and teachers, according to what local sources told the Palestinian News Agency, WAFA.

She added that there is a state of panic and fear among citizens, especially women and children. The Red Crescent said in a brief statement that its crews dealt with 7 injuries resulting from the attack and they were transferred to the hospital.
