In the presentation of the report “Actions and Results of Security and Peace Construction in Mexico City”, headed by the head of Government, Clara Brugada, the capital’s prosecutor for the Ministry of Law, Ulises Lara, pointed out that one of the achievements in 2024 was the decrease in high-impact crimes, including feminicide.

According to the figures presented by the capital’s Prosecutor’s Office, from October to date, 16 femicides were recorded, after which 18 people were charged and brought to trial, while the remaining have been fully identified and are under investigation.
“We have ample work capacity to be able to justify the prosecution of those who have committed these acts and not leave them unpunished,” said Lara.
Furthermore, as part of the actions to guarantee the safety and justice of women, the head of the FGJCDMX said that during the same period they have granted 12,337 protection measures to women who suffer violence.
To carry out the investigations, the prosecutor said that it is crucial that the victims report, which is why he highlighted that the current administration has managed to generate trust among citizens for this.
In other topics, Lara highlighted 4,600 made available in the execution of 117 searches, where 66 people were arrested and more than 154 doses of marijuana, 748 of methamphetamine, 11,280 of cocaine and 680 of crystal were seized. .
Finally, the head of the local Prosecutor’s Office pointed out that from October to December, 19,512 hearings were held, of which 4,465 were initial; In addition, 1,265 arrest warrants have been completed and more than 1,285 sentences have been obtained in different cases, including abbreviated procedures and oral trials.
