An 18-year-old Paraguayan woman was arrested in flagrante delicto by the Federal Police on Saturday night (15), at Galeão airport, in the north zone of Rio, when she was trying to board a flight with 2.6 kg of cocaine that would make a stopover in Paris. and would have Barcelona as the final destination.
According to the PF, the Paraguayan woman, whose name was not disclosed, had entered Brazil a few days ago, through the municipality of Foz do Iguaçu, bringing the drug, and from there she went to Rio de Janeiro. The drug would be taken to Barcelona.
During a routine inspection, federal police identified the drug hidden in a body strap used by the foreigner. She was forwarded to the Federal Police Superintendence in Rio de Janeiro, where the case was registered, and will respond for the crime of international drug trafficking, which can lead to up to 15 years in prison.
