In the first quarter, passenger vehicle sales reached 9.1 lakh, two-wheeler 37.25 lakh and passenger vehicle sales reached 2.25 lakh, mainly due to the recent measures taken by the central government.

In particular, measures taken to reduce inflationary pressures, reduction in excise duty on petrol and diesel, revision of tax rates on steel and plastics were a boost to the growth of the Indian motor vehicle industry.

We look forward to similar cooperation in curbing the CNG price which has been rising at a rocket pace for the last seven months. He said that this would not only be an environment-friendly public transport but also beneficial for the common man.
