Riyadh: 19 Lakh Narcotics Pills Seized in Saudi Arabia. These were seized by the Saudi anti-narcotics police. Narcotics Control General Department spokesman Major Mohammad Al Najeedi said the drug pills were seized in collaboration with Oman’s anti-narcotics agency and the Saudi Tax and Customs Authority.

The official said the drugs were found expertly hidden inside machines in a warehouse in Riyadh. Nine people who came to receive this shipment have been arrested. Three Saudi nationals, a Gulf native, a Syrian expatriate, two Bangladeshis and two Pakistani residents were arrested. Recently, several attempts to smuggle drugs into the country have been thwarted by the relevant departments in Saudi Arabia.

A few days ago, a large quantity of intoxicating pills was seized in Saudi Arabia. Anti-narcotics unit in Saudi seized 39 lakh drugs. According to the authorities, the intoxicating pills were hidden inside the shipment that brought the pepper.

Major Mohammad Al Najaidi, spokesman for the Saudi General Directorate of Narcotics Control, said the amphetamine tablets were seized in an operation carried out by the agency in collaboration with the Saudi Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority. Five people who came to receive the shipment were arrested. They were arrested from Riyadh and Jeddah. A foreigner, two Syrians on a visit visa, an Egyptian and a native were arrested.
