Party atmosphere in the Bielefeld locomotive shed! The “1Live Krone” music prize was awarded on Thursday evening – it wasn’t just the lucky winners who celebrated wildly!
The band Echt caused screaming teenagers in the 1990s and became idols for an entire generation. However, the band also suffered from its success.
In the documentary “Our Youth” you can see previously unpublished episodes from the band’s time – sometimes also raunchy scenes. However, real singer Kim Frank (41) is not at all ashamed of them, as he reported: “I think it’s nice that we also have scenes like this that show how intimate we were as boys.” Presenter Donya Farahani (36) wanted to know: “Was there a limit?”

Frank kept a low profile, but he apparently still has a lot of film material in his poison cabinet: “Definitely of things that I wouldn’t include or haven’t included. The material is under lock and key. Nobody ever gets to see that.”
He produced the documentary himself, but at least he didn’t completely rule out a comeback by the band: “This is not preparation for a comeback. But I always say, we are still young. And we always said never never!”
The rapper Ski Aggu (26) took home three trophies that evening – this was the first time at the “1Live-Krone”.
Otto Waalkes is cult – and richer in a “1Live” crown

Together with the band 01099, he won in the “Best Hip Hop/R&B Song” category with the song “Anders” and was allowed back on stage shortly afterwards to pick up the crown as “Best Newcomer”. Presented by Echt frontman Kim Frank.
The final crown went to Otto Waalkes (75), Joost (26) and him: “Friesenjung” was named “Best Song”. Ski Aggu jokingly announced that he wanted to give up his music career in order to finally complete his training as an astronaut. Waalkes was happy about the prize with his well-known yodeling.
