Significant rewards for bold projects

The three best projects were rewarded in cash and will benefit from personalized support in the legal and accounting fields, in addition to support in branding and coworking.

The third prize of the Shark Tank Capstone went to the SOS PROF project. Represented by students from the Private International Institute of Management and Technology of Rabat, the team The Undergrounds proposed an innovative platform that facilitates the connection between professors and students. SOS PROF offers personalized education by focusing on the individual needs of each student.

The second prize of this edition goes to E-PLACARD. Presented by the WE CAN team of Al Akhawayn University, this project stands out for its online platform dedicated to the sale of second-hand luxury items and traditional clothing. E-PLACARD offers users a unique experience, with innovative features such as a negotiation and auction section, publication highlighting, and intelligence-based authentication.

The jury members awarded the “Coup de Coeur” prize to the Farmily project by the Atlas Traders team. These students from Al Akhawayn University have developed an innovative platform that directly connects wholesalers with agricultural retailers to promote environmentally friendly agricultural practices and ethical livestock farming.

The first prize was awarded to the SMARTMA project. The SMART WATER team representing Al Akhayawn University developed a water management device for large industries and agricultural operations. This innovative and state-of-the-art project monitors water consumption, water pressure, water purity and detects leaks in real time.

Complemented by a mobile application, SMARTMA provides detailed reports and includes a real-time alerts option for efficient water management.

This first edition of the Capstone Shark Tank benefited from the expertise of a jury composed of representatives of leading companies in various fields, such as technology, IT services, strategy consulting, coaching and personal development.

The jury members brought their knowledge and experience to evaluate the projects of the young entrepreneurs participating in this competition.

Promoting responsible and innovative entrepreneurship

The awards ceremony highlighted the successes of the winners and underlined the importance of responsible entrepreneurship, innovation and personalized support for young Moroccan entrepreneurs.

“Having won first prize in Cornell University’s Shark Tank in 2016, I wanted to share my expertise with our future entrepreneurs. This first edition of the Capstone Shark Tank was a great success and we look forward to supporting the next generation of Moroccan entrepreneurs in future editions,” concludes FH Benzakour.
