The victory secured Lautern further 2nd place. And FCK’s record is impressive. The Red Devils have been unbeaten in 13 games. And after two draws – 2:2 against Magdeburg and 1:1 at Waldhof – another win.
But 17821 spectators (about 30 from Verl) need a lot of patience. The guests, threatened with relegation, show no respect and take a 1-0 lead through Elija Akono (14th). Storm tank Terrence Boyd is absent from Lautern due to illness. You can tell.
The team coached by Marco Antwerpen can hardly tie a ball up front. There are a lot of missteps for this. At least Alexander Winkler managed to level the score at 1-1 (35′) after a corner from Hendrick Zuck.
Coach Antwerp: “We weren’t satisfied with the first half. There was too little movement and passion. The balance was extremely important. Then we readjusted the game during the break.”
Substitute Hikmet Ciftci and the more offensive Felix Götze have more momentum on the right. But no goal. Götze misses two good chances (56th and 70th). Muhammed Kiprit was just offside when the 2-1 was denied (74′).
But three minutes later, the knight’s spurt made Lautern cheer. Closing words Antwerp: “A great goal. All in all we are very satisfied. And now we’re getting ready for 1860.” Because the catch-up game in Munich starts on Tuesday.
