Two ministers in Sri Lanka have announced their resignations.
The people’s struggle has intensified due to the severe economic crisis in Sri Lanka. Due to the ongoing economic crisis, people in the country have been finding it difficult to even get their essential services for the past few months.
Protesters set fire to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s house in the afternoon and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe’s house in the evening.

Subsequently, the Speaker convened a meeting of all party leaders in Colombo on Saturday evening. The MPs who participated in it insisted that the President should resign immediately.
Accepting the House’s request, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has approved his resignation. It has been reported that President Gotabaya will also resign next week.
