jpnn.com – There are a number of reasons why AC Milan are interested in signing Alvaro Morata.
The Spanish striker is said to be close to joining Milan.
Morata only needs to undergo a medical and sign a three-year contract.
AC Milan reportedly spent around EUR 13 million to bring Morata from Atletico Madrid.
Morata’s experience and success in winning various trophies made Milan interested in buying the 32-year-old striker.
“Alvaro (Morata) scored 21 goals with Atletico Madrid last season, and in the national team. He scored everywhere, Italy, Spain, England, Champions League,” said AC Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani as reported by Football Italia.
“In addition, he has 20 trophies throughout his career. That is the reason we recruited him. I add, Alvaro really wants to join Milan,” he continued.
Morata himself has just led Spain to win EURO 2024. He is a mainstay of coach Luis de La Fuente, and holds the position of team captain.
