The Board of Directors of two companies listed in the insurance sector on the capital market has released unaudited financial reports for the second quarter (April-June, 2024) and half-yearly (January-June, 2024) of the current financial year. According to published reports, the profits of the two companies have increased in the half-yearly quarter under discussion.

The companies are – Standard Insurance Limited and Crystal Insurance Company Limited.

On Monday (July 29), the Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE) informed this information.

Standard Insurance: The company’s earnings per share (EPS) for the six months of the current financial year stood at Rs 1.33. The amount of which was 1.31 rupees in the same period of the last financial year. As a result, EPS has increased by Tk 0.02 or 2 percent. Meanwhile, the company’s EPS for the 2nd quarter of the current financial year (April-June 2024) was Tk 0.68. The amount of which was 0.66 rupees in the same period of the last financial year. As a result, EPS has increased by Tk 0.02 or 3 percent. On June 30, the company’s net asset value per share (NAVPS) stood at Tk 21.83.

Crystal Insurance: The company’s earnings per share (EPS) for the six months of the current financial year has been Tk 1.69. The amount of which was 1.62 rupees in the same period of the last financial year. As a result, EPS has increased by Tk 0.07 or 4 percent. Meanwhile, the company’s EPS for the 2nd quarter of the current financial year (April – June 2024) was Tk 0.86. The amount of which was Rs. 0.80 during the same period of the last financial year. Due to this EPS has increased by 0.06 taka or 8 percent. On June 30, the company’s net asset value per share (NAVPS) stood at Tk 24.09.
