BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that 2,000 people were killed on the orders of Sheikh Hasina during the student movement.
He said, in the last 15-16 years, we have been tortured in every way. We have been put in jail because of BNP. A steam roller of torture has been run.
He said these things in a public meeting organized by Upazila BNP in Haripur Upazila Eidgah Maidan field of Thakurgaon on Wednesday (September 18) noon.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam said, Allah does not forgive transgressors. He makes whomever He wants to be a master, and He makes whomever He wants to be a Fakir. Sheikh Hasina considered herself a queen. But due to karma he had to flee the country. Fearing the arrival of students at the Ganabhaban, he fled to India by helicopter. The influential Hasina went to India in fear and took refuge in a pitiful condition, spending her days.
He said, I myself have been imprisoned 11 times. Those who tortured us, ruled us, occupied the land are now in jail. They built a mirror to torture BNP-Jamaat people. Golam tortured Azam’s son Azmi in the mirror for 8 years. They have lost many of our leaders and activists. We have not heard from many of them yet.
Mirza Fakhrul said, India shot at us on the border. We want to live well. But shooting will be protested. We have to give security to minorities. We have to be loved by all. If we behave like Awami League, we will end up like them.
He said about Obaidul Quader, he used to say that he would not run away. If you escape, don’t go outside the country, come to my house. Now the countrymen do not know where he has gone. He had to flee today because he was against the people of this country.
