Tiruppur: Two tiers of police security have been set up at the counting center in Tiruppur district. At 13 centers, 500 policemen are on duty. In front of the room, gun-toting police security has been put in place. At the entrance, in the area including the premises, two layers of police security have been put in place.
About 100 people, including two assistant commissioners and four inspectors, are on duty on a rotating basis. Between 30 and 50 policemen are on security duty at the center, which has drive machines for municipalities. More than 500 police officers are involved in the operation at 13 counting centers across the district.
