It should have been a fun trip to a mountain health resort. It has been snowing in northern Pakistan since Tuesday and so hundreds of families in their vehicles set off for Murree to spend happy hours in the snow in the small town north of the capital Islamabad at an altitude of 2291 meters. But the trip ended fatally for several tourists. They died after their vehicles got stuck on the streets in freezing temperatures. 22 people died, the civil defense announced on Sunday. Among the dead, who are said to be all local, were two women and ten children.
