The winner of the 23rd edition will be announced on 14 October at the Museo della Permanente in Milan and streamed on Corriere.it. The Cairo Prize is organized by the monthly “Arte”.

Founded in 2000 by Urbano Cairo with a commitment to valorise (be it painting, sculpture, video art, photography, digital art) Italian youth art, over the years the Award has become A launching pad for “emerging” people who become “big”. According to tradition, the winning work of the 2024 edition will also become part of the Cairo Prize Collection and its author will be awarded a sum of 25 thousand euros. From 15 to 20 October the exhibition of 20 works (winner and other participants), together with the entire Cairo Prize Collection with all works awarded in previous editions, will be open free of charge to the public at the Permanente Museum.
