Romeo Javier Langhorn of Florida, USA, will serve 20 years in prison for publishing bomb-making instructions online, and supporting ISIS, the 32-year-old man from St. Augustine Florida, swore allegiance to ISIS in 2014 and reaffirmed his support for the 2018 and 2019 terrorist organization .

Langhorn began communicating in early 2019 with an undercover FBI agent who impersonated an ISIS man and shared his plans to make a video about the preparation of a deadly explosive called triacetone trioxide (TATP). TATP is sometimes referred to as the “mother of the devil”, a homemade explosive common among terrorist groups due to its cheap materials.

Langhorn told the FBI agent that he wanted to create the bomb-making video to “arm ISIS supporters and others with knowledge of how to create TATP and use it for terrorist-related purposes to support ISIS,” according to the Florida prosecutor’s office. The FBI created a video of Langhorn’s instructions with an inert formula for the TATP that would not actually explode, and Langhorn uploaded it to the site in November 2019. He was arrested days later, Fox News reported.

“The willingness of this dangerous man to make great efforts to harm innocent Americans was real, but through hard work and determination, the FBI’s joint task force on terrorism successfully disrupted its program early on, preventing a threat to the safety of our community,” the statement said.
