200 guitarists performed “Oath” – one of the most famous songs of “Crickets“. The event started at 5 p.m. in the park in front of the NDK in Sofia and it is in memory of the great rock musician Kiril Marichkov.
It was the first mass guitar playing of its kind.

Before the performance of “Oath” there was a minute’s applause from the audience for the patriarch of native rock music.
The organizers of the Sofia Guitar Fest invited everyone who wishes to participate, even without a guitar, to honor the memory of the author of the music and arrangement of “Oath”.
They also reported that Kiril Marichkov personally had to witness the performance of “Oath”, scheduled for the upcoming birthday of the singer.
His fans are gathering today at 8 p.m. in front of his home at 21 “Marin Drinov” Street to sing together favorite songs of Kiril Marichkov and “Crickets”.
Marichkov passed away only 20 days before his 80th birthday in a ridiculous accident in the village of Selanovtsi in Vratsa.
On the occasion of the assembly, there was a concert by the “Foundation” in the village. Shortly before the performance, Kiril Marichkov fell off the stage and hit his head badly. The incident happened around 18:45. An ambulance was immediately called, but he died on the way to Oryahovo.
