A 200-year-old abandoned mine found in the British town of Cheshire has been unearthed.
Archaeologists conducted research at Alderley Edge, a mine in Cheshire, UK.
Although the mine was discovered last year, it was difficult to enter and explore due to its narrow passages and complex structures.
It was at this stage that the researchers, who went into the mine with the help of many experts, looked at the objects there.
All of them are about 200 years old. Abandoned after 1810, the mine is said to have yielded shoes, clay pipes, and scattered pieces of machinery.
As well as the enigmatic drawings, the letters WS with the date 20 August 1810 have puzzled the researchers.
The researchers said it was extremely unusual to observe a fossil of such an age that the crypt and a hair’s breadth were preserved.
