Imagine a (very good) salary falling from the sky, for years. This is the promise of EuroDreams, the new game from Française des jeux (FDJ), unveiled today in association with the eight European lotteries which already organize EuroMillions. The opening of betting starts on Monday October 30, for a first draw on November 6, ninety years almost to the day after the very first Loto draw in France.

In summary: for a starting stake of 2.50 euros, EuroDreams allows you to earn up to 20,000 euros per month for thirty years. It will take (a lot of) luck: one in nineteen million to win the bet, which is equivalent to a total of 7.2 million euros! The equivalent of a well-referenced notary’s salary, minus the long days! And, at the end, the possibility of paying for a huge duplex in the beautiful Parisian neighborhoods, or even a (second-hand) yacht almost 30 m long.

The first joint annuity game organized in Europe

A far cry, all the same, from the record EuroMillions jackpot of 230 million euros, won in July 2022 by a Briton. In the snap of his fingers, he had joined the list of 800,000 London millionaires – the capital of the United Kingdom being the one with the most super-rich people in the world.

It is, according to the FDJ, the first joint annuity game organized in Europe. The principle is the same as Loto or EuroMillions. All you have to do is check six numbers out of forty as well as one additional number out of five others. In rank two – that is to say with the six correct numbers but not the complementary one – the gain remains substantial: one chance in 4.7 million of winning 2,000 euros per month for five years. “Overall,” specifies the FDJ in a press release, “there is a chance in 4.6 of winning a prize. »

Two draws will take place each week – Monday and Thursday – and players will have until 8:15 p.m. to validate their grids, the company organizing games of chance tells us. It is also she who will be responsible for the joint draw for the eight other countries participating — the United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Ireland, Austria, Switzerland and Luxembourg .
