2022 elections: Mandates survey – how will the disqualification of Shikli affect Netanyahu’s bloc?

A poll of mandates by “Now 14” and the polling institute “Direct Falls” places the right-wing bloc once again with 62 mandates against only 58 of the Lapid bloc and the Arab parties. Yisrael Beitenu led by Avigdor Lieberman gets 6 mandates and the Labor party, Meretz, Hadash-Ta’al and Ream get 4 mandates each.

The survey also shows that the Jewish Home party led by Ayelet Shaked does not pass the threshold and receives only 2.4%. Balad, whose candidacy for the Knesset elections was disqualified today by the Central Election Commission, receives 1.49%.

The survey also examined how the map of the blocs would look if Shaked decides not to run in the elections: Likud will drop to 34 seats, religious Zionism-Otzma Yehudit will increase to 12, while the other parties will not be affected by the decision.

The head of the opposition and chairman of the Likud, Benjamin Netanyahu, received 50% compared to only 37% for Prime Minister Yair Lapid. 13% answered that Defense Minister Benny Gantz is the most suitable for the job.
