2022: INDH strengthens its position as a unifying actor in the human development ecosystem in Drâa-Tafilalet

by times news cr

The INDH, which is in its third phase (2019-2023), has consolidated, thanks to the projects launched or inaugurated during the year which is about to end in the five provinces of Drâa-Tafilalet, its role as a lever for the convergence of action in terms of human development at the regional level.

Bringing together stakeholders from the public, private and civil society human development ecosystem to ensure convergence of approaches and increase the impact of projects is one of the areas for improvement of the INDH in its phase III.

This royal construction site open to various dimensions thus continued in 2022 its efforts and actions aimed at improving the living conditions of the population in Drâa-Tafilalet and offering them the opportunity to contribute to the progress of this region in different areas.

Furthermore, the celebration, in May 2022, of the 17th anniversary of the INDH in Ouarzazate, in the presence of the wali-national coordinator of the INDH, Mohamed Dardouri, testifies to the importance given by the Initiative to this region of the Kingdom.

Last November, Mr. Dardouri made a second visit to the Drâa-Tafilalet region, specifically to the commune of Imilchil, which was an opportunity to emphasize the great importance of analyzing local needs and developing a precise diagnosis of these needs by the Local Human Development Committees (CLDH).

Whether it is access to basic services and care, support for schooling, support for people in precarious situations, social integration of young people or economic inclusion, human development in all its dimensions has remained the major concern of the INDH in Drâa-Tafilalet.

The INDH projects inaugurated or launched in 2022 in the Drâa-Tafilalet region are the result of partnerships established with several parties, including the Ministry of the Interior, the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests and the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research.

For example, several projects were inaugurated or launched in the province of Midelt, on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of Independence Day and the 46th anniversary of the glorious Green March.

This was the occasion for the inauguration of Dar Al Oumouma (Maternity House) in the centre of the commune of Amouguer, carried out by the INDH with a total investment of 1,645,201 Dirhams.

Similarly, construction work on the headquarters of the Midelt Youth Platform was launched, as was the drinking water supply project for the Timicha douar, which falls under the territorial commune of Imilchil.

The Provincial Human Development Committee (CPDH) of Midelt adopted, last August, several proposed INDH projects with a total cost of 14,281,048 Dirhams.

Another “Dar Al Oumouma” was inaugurated at the territorial commune level of Assoul, in the province of Tinghir.

This social structure was created by the National Initiative for Human Development, as part of its program 4 “Impulse of the Human Capital of Rising Generations”, in particular its component relating to the strengthening of the maternal and child health system.

On the same occasion, a multimedia library and a level 1 rural health center were inaugurated respectively in the center of Tamegroute and in Tarmigte, in the province of Zagora.

The CPDH of Zagora approved, last February, 315 projects and actions with a total cost of 54 million Dh.

Initiatives aimed at supporting schooling, combating school dropout and strengthening the school transport fleet in the province of Ouarzazate to reach a total of 247 buses were implemented in 2022.

In the province of Errachidia, a socio-educational complex for children with special needs and a space for mothers and children were inaugurated last November, respectively in the municipalities of Tinejdad and Moulay Ali Chérif.

The socio-educational complex for children with special needs was built on an area of 600 m2, as part of a partnership with Entraide Nationale, thanks to a budget of 3.2 million Dh, financed by the INDH.

The Space for Mother and Child, inaugurated in the commune of Moulay Ali Chérif, was built with a budget of 2.3 million Dh, as part of a partnership between the INDH, the National Aid and this commune.

The INDH, this project renewed in its approaches and results, continues its momentum in the Drâa-Tafilalet region to reduce major socio-economic deficits, promote the economic integration of the most deprived and preserve their dignity.
