2023 Club World Cup will be played in Saudi Arabia; check dates

FIFA has already defined where the Club World Cup of 2023. The country that will host the tournament will be Saudi Arabia, as announced by the federation itself this Tuesday afternoon.

The competition will be held between the 12th and 22nd of December this year, in the middle of the European season and in the final stretch of the Brazilian calendar. With the end of liberators scheduled for November 11, the South American champion will have just over a month to prepare for the competition.

The last edition of the Club World Cup took place in Morocco and had the Real Madrid as champion, beating Al-Hilal, from Saudi Arabia, in the decision. O Flamengo disappointed, but ended up taking third place in the tournament after winning over Al Ahly, from Egypt.

It should be noted that the current format of the championship dispute has its days numbered. FIFA announced amid world Cup 2022, in Qatar, that the World Cup will be played with 32 teams, starting in 2025.

The organization has not yet disclosed further details about the 2023 edition. Currently, the competition welcomes the champions of each continent, in addition to a representative of the host country.
