This year we have our favorites, which together with your votes, have borne fruit in the 2023 Xbox Community Awards
To end a year of madness full of great masterpieces in video games, we decide to celebrate in a big way. To do this, we have the Xbox Community Awards 2023, where we have made a list of the titles that we liked the most this year. This list is formed by the voting of the members of the editorial team, but we have also added the votes that you yourselves offered us these days in the form. Without a doubt, some very close nominations in several of the categories that we present to you and that we show you below. Thank you very much for your participation!
GOTY XBOX COMMUNITY 2023
ALAN WAKE 2 (140 POINTS)
2nd Place: Hi-Fi Rush (113 points)
3rd Place: Starfield (101 points)
Sam Lake has been crowned with his psychological horror proposal that has dazzled fans and skeptics of the saga. Alan Wake 2 has everything to be a deserved winner: story, context, playable elements and amazing graphics. Despite the controversy caused by its lack of physical edition, Remedy Entertainment has managed to win the hearts of users.
BEST ACTION/ADVENTURE GAME
ALAN WAKE 2 (133 POINTS)
2nd Place: Hi-Fi Rush (132 points)
3rd Place: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (88 points)
This is a clear example of the importance of your decisions. Although Tango Gameworks’ musical proposal was crowning the qualifiers, it was your votes that decided that the latest adventure of the writer Alan Wake would win the prize by the slightest difference. Without a doubt, a very close category full of suitors.
BEST RPG GAME
STARFIELD (179 PUNTOS)
2nd Place: Diablo IV (100 points)
3rd Place: Sea of Stars (89 points)
Bethesda’s space odyssey also has its recognition, and takes first place as a role-playing game. The possibilities it offers are enormous, whether in character creation, in secondary stories or in the creation of ships to wander through the universe. For that and much more, it has the recognition it deserves at the 2023 Xbox Community Awards.
BEST SPORTS GAME
FORZA MOTORSPORT (165 POINTS)
2nd Place: Forza Horizon 5: Rally Adventure (83 points)
3rd Place: EA Sports FC 24 (65 points)
If there was a category where we knew the winner, it was this one. The good work that Turn 10 Studios has done is undeniable. And although there is always room for improvement, it becomes, on its own merits, a must-have for friends of speed. Be careful, if you don’t like simulation, Forza Horizon 5: Rally Adventure is a very good alternative, I’ll leave it there…
BEST INDIE GAME
BLASPHEMOUS 2 (115 PUNTOS)
2nd Place: Cocoon (97 points)
3rd Place: Sea of Stars (85 points)
Penance in this case has borne fruit, and The Game Kitchen’s proposal is the winner among independent titles. One of the most competitive categories, where excellence is the only way to reach the podium. Unless you like metroidvania and challenges, you will be immersed in Blasphemous 2. Be careful with the spikes!
BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT OF 2023
THE LORD OF THE RINGS: GOLLUM (161 PUNTOS)
2nd Place: Redfall (112 points)
3rd Place: Wanted Dead (49 points)
Although the vampire hunt that Redfall proposed was not liked in general terms, we found a lot of unanimity with the adventure starring Gollum. Lots of laughs and videos of all kinds, the truth is that this poor creature has not been doing very well being separated from the ring for so long. From the Xbox Community, we hope for a speedy recovery.
GREATEST EXPECTATION 2024
STAR WARS: OUTLAWS (118 PUNTOS)
2nd Place: Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II (98 points)
3rd Place: Fable (71 points)
The hype train takes hold of us and we comment on our best and greatest wishes for the coming year. And well… if we have said that 2023 has been a strong year, be careful with 2024 because it shows ways. It’s watching anything from Star Wars: Outlaws and our eyes make our eyes twinkle. We already want to sink our teeth into it!
BEST GAME PASS GAME 2023
STARFIELD (146 PUNTOS)
2nd Place: Hi-Fi Rush (108 points)
3rd Place: Lies of P (91 points)
Although each of the releases present here have taken over the hard drives of all subscribed to the service, there is only one that has reached directly to the heart. It may be because of the hypeor the desire to become true explorers of the universe, but the truth is that since Starfield came out on Game Pass, users have used Game Pass like never before to enjoy its benefits.
And here are the awards. On my own behalf (and I believe I speak on behalf of the entire Xbox Community team), thank you very much for being with us for another year. We appreciate all the feedback we receive, whether on the web or on the different Social Networks we have available. In the end, that love is the reason that gives us the necessary strength to continue growing and providing useful content for you. We are sure to start 2024 with energy and desire to face all the releases that our favorite console can offer us!!!
