Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has been chosen, according to four CNN sources. Earlier, media outlets reported that Harris had narrowed her vice presidential contenders to two: Walz and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.

Tim Walz, a former educator, is currently serving his second term as Minnesota governor and chairs the Democratic Governors Association. He previously served 12 years in Congress representing a conservative rural district. Walz is also a former member of the National Guard.
