A recent attack on a school in Gaza, where militants were reportedly located, has sparked a sharp response from Russia. Channel 12 news outlet reported the incident.
Russian Foreign Ministry press secretary Maria Zakharova urged Israel to refrain from attacks targeting civilian infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.
Several other countries have also condemned the attack, including Belgium, Syria, Oman, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Iraq. These nations joined others in expressing their disapproval of the Israeli military operation.
According to a Telegram channel citing sources linked to the Palestinian faction Fatah, the attack on the “A-Tabaeen” school resulted in the death of Dr. Ashraf El-Afri, a senior Hamas commander and military leader. The school complex was reportedly used as a military base.
Saudi Arabia and Qatar also condemned the attack. The Saudi Foreign Ministry labelled the incident a “massacre,” exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region. They accused Israeli forces of violating international and humanitarian law. Qatar called for an international investigation into the attack and demanded the dispatch of United Nations investigators to clarify the circumstances.
