White House National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby said that Vladimir Putin could end the war against Ukraine if he is so concerned about the situation in the Kursk region. He said this at an online briefing on Monday, August 12.
The White House also responded to the main thesis of Russian propaganda, which has been heard in all Russian media outlets in recent days: the invasion of the Kursk region was orchestrated by the United States. The White House Security Council decisively rejects this version and states that this is the sound of “Putin’s propaganda”, which Putin has been conducting since the beginning of his invasion of Ukraine.
“The only ones who are at war in Ukraine are the Russians themselves. They are the ones invading Ukraine, and Ukraine is defending itself from aggression. This is a war between Russia and Ukraine, nothing more and nothing less, and it has been that way from the very beginning,” the White House spokesman emphasized.
In addition, the White House gave Putin a “unique recipe” for how to resolve the issue of Russia’s offensive in the Kursk region.
“This is Putin’s war against Ukraine. And if he doesn’t like something, if he’s not satisfied with something, there’s a very simple solution – let him get the hell out of Ukraine and stop the war,” he added.
Let us recall that since the beginning of last week, Ukrainian military personnel have been conducting an operation in the territory of the Kursk region of Russia and, as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, claims, control up to 1,000 square kilometers of territory.
Earlier, “Kursor” reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recalled the Kursk submarine, the sinking of which marked the beginning of Putin’s era, and stated that Kursk (the city) would be the “beginning of the end” of the Russian dictator.
