The offensive of the Ukrainian army in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation took the Kremlin by surprise and forced Moscow to redeploy its troops.
This was reported by Bild, citing the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Putin’s entourage tacitly admits that the Ukrainian offensive was a blow to the dictator and, naturally, was perceived as humiliation. Now in the Russian Federation they are desperately trying to save the situation and therefore the Russian military leadership is transferring units from the Ukrainian Zaporizhzhya region in connection with the operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region.
ISW refers to the positions of the Russian military personnel on assignment on social networks. At the same time, according to the ISW report, Russia is trying not to weaken the main direction for the offensive in the Donetsk region, in particular the Pokrovsk direction.
As is known, in early August, Ukrainian forces began offensive operations in the Kursk region. It is already known that Ukrainian soldiers have liberated more than 90 Russian settlements. It is known that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already captured several thousand Russian soldiers, most of them conscripts and so-called “Kadyrovites”. A military commandant’s office has been created in the territory controlled by the defenders of Ukraine.
Let us recall that earlier “Kursor” reported that the operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region and the forced evacuation of thousands of Russians could become a serious challenge to the power of Vladimir Putin. Pro-Kremlin military bloggers are increasingly criticizing the Russian Ministry of Defense, and one of the oligarchs, Oleg Deripaska, has already openly expressed his dissatisfaction with the war.
Also, “Kursor” wrote that the media revealed another reason for the failure of the Russian Federation in the Kursk region
