The Third Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has launched a counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region.
This was reported on the official Telegram channel of the Third Assault Brigade.
As a result of the operation, which began on August 15, the brigade captured a battalion defense area of the occupiers, and also destroyed enemy platoon and company strongholds, advancing to a depth of almost two square kilometers. The ratio of forces on the battlefield was 2.5 to 1 in favor of the enemy, additionally supported by reserve forces.
The brigade commander, Colonel Andrey Biletsky, reported that the main goal of the operation was to weaken the offensive potential of the Russian 20th Army. He noted that this task was successfully accomplished. Over four days of fighting, the enemy lost about three hundred servicemen, and a significant amount of equipment and weapons were destroyed.
According to Colonel Biletsky, the successful offensive against a superior enemy was made possible by careful planning, innovative solutions and the coordinated work of various units, such as artillery, air defense, BPS and reconnaissance. Tankers, sappers, scouts and attack aircraft played an important role in the victory.
The operation helped reduce tension in critical areas of the front and diverted the enemy’s attack in the direction of Makeyevka.
At the moment, the occupiers are increasing the use of aviation, MLRS and long-range artillery, trying to regain lost positions.
However, the Third Assault Brigade continues to firmly hold its lines.
Earlier, “Kursor” reported that Putin could not remember the names of the regions of Russia attacked by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Despite the seriousness of the topic under discussion, Putin found it difficult to name these regions without assistance.
