Defense Minister Yoav Galant recently spoke by phone with his British counterpart, Secretary of State for Defense John Healey, according to a transcript of the conversation released by his office.

Gallant briefed Healy on the preemptive strike in Lebanon that morning and the foiled attack by Hezbollah terrorists, the report said. During the conversation, they also discussed the importance of cooperation between Israel and the UK to ensure Israel’s security and maintain stability in the region.

The statement also noted that Galant and Healy discussed ongoing hostage negotiations and a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas terrorists. Galant expressed gratitude to Healy for the UK’s defence cooperation and for his “personal leadership and commitment to Israel’s security.”

Earlier, Cursor wrote that Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant, during a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, confirmed Israel’s determination to continue military operations in the Gaza Strip until the main goals are achieved – the release of hostages and the complete destruction of the Hamas terrorist organization.

His office said Galant stressed the importance of increasing military pressure on Hamas and noted the need for continued political pressure from the United States to facilitate the return of the hostages.

In addition, Cursor has already reported that Defense Minister Yoav Galant, in a conversation with his American counterpart, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, noted that “the unprecedented security cooperation between Israel and the US in confronting Iran and its allies plays a key role in ensuring regional security and stability.”
