According to media reports, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are planning to launch missile strikes on key targets in Russia using Storm Shadow missiles. This was reported by Ukrainian Telegram channels, citing Russian media.

Moscow, Sochi, and cities with important defense enterprises are named as potential targets.

In particular, the targets include the fleet in Novorossiysk, the residence of President Putin in Sochi, the air defense system in Sevastopol, as well as defense and gunpowder factories. Headquarters located in the south of Russia and as far as Moscow, including St. Petersburg, may be under threat.

From August 26 to September 9, Moscow units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations have been transferred to an enhanced operating mode. According to the information, the department’s employees are required to post guards, introduce reserve shifts and equipment, and also keep all equipment in full combat readiness.

In addition, the territory of the Emergencies Ministry units will be patrolled hourly, and responsible persons are required to be on duty around the clock.

Today in Washington, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin will meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov. According to Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh, Austin plans to receive updated information on the current situation at the front, including events in the Kursk region.
