Iran has completed its investigation into the crash of a helicopter carrying President Ibrahim Raisi. The Iranian army’s General Staff has published the results of its final investigation into the May 19 plane crash.
According to the report, Tehran completely ruled out the possibility that the helicopter was shot down by any kind of weapon, including electronic weapons or lasers, and rejected suggestions that Israel was involved in the incident.
The document notes that the main cause of the crash was the difficult climatic conditions typical for the spring period. In particular, the sudden formation of thick fog during the climb led to the helicopter colliding with the mountain.
The investigation also showed that the helicopter was in perfect technical condition, all necessary repairs were carried out in a timely manner and in accordance with regulations. The pilots followed the assigned route without deviating from it. In addition, no traces of psychotropic substances or poisons were found in the bodies of the deceased during the examination.
Thus, Iranian authorities came to the conclusion that the tragedy was caused solely by adverse weather conditions, and not by external interference or technical malfunctions.
Earlier, “Kursor” wrote that Iran declared its readiness for “Israeli aggression.” The commander of the Iranian air defense noted that the country is “closely monitoring” the activities of Israeli troops.
