The city of Sudzha in the Kursk region has been in the rear of military operations for several weeks and is completely controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In retaliation, the Russians decided to destroy the settlement and are hitting it with everything they can get their hands on. At the same time, they do not care about the remaining residents of the city.
This was reported by the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as Ukrainian media.
The Russians are throwing guided aerial bombs at Sudzha, shelling it with artillery and kamikaze drones.
“They are destroying their own,” the Ukrainian Armed Forces said in a statement.
On August 30, a Russian bomb hit a kindergarten, and enemy aircraft also struck private homes where civilians were. There are about two hundred civilians left in the city, who are being helped by Ukrainian soldiers. Almost all of them are very old pensioners. People unanimously say that the government did not warn them about anything and did not try to evacuate them.
In addition, the Ukrainian commandant’s office recently established water supply in Sudzha, so local residents now have drinking water. Before that, locals were supplied with water by trucks and water carriers. Ukrainian military personnel also provide medical assistance to local residents.
The media also reported on terror against civilians. The news story said that Russian troops were shooting at their own people and their homes. At the same time, propaganda presented this as an attempt at “liberation”, but in reality, the Russian military is simply hiding behind civilians.
“The Russian military uses both UABs and MLRS systems in order to allegedly knock out Ukrainian soldiers from the positions they occupy, but instead they hit architectural monuments and buildings. FPV drones, Lancets, ZALA, and Supercam work very well,” said Oleksiy Dmitrashkovsky, an officer at the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Earlier, “Kursor” reported that military actions in the Kursk region continue. The other day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces published another proof that the Russian authorities are sending untrained soldiers into battle – an example of this is the captured T-80 and T-90 tanks, which were driven by an inexperienced crew.
