Hussein Mohammad Fukru was the nephew and “successor” of his uncle, Fuad Shukr, who was the chief of staff of the terrorist group Hezbollah. Some media outlets and social networks reported that Hussein Shukr was killed in an IDF airstrike in Lebanon.

According to media reports, Shukr was in the village of Nabichit, located in the Bekaa Valley, 30 km east of the Lebanese capital, Beirut. Shukr was killed during an air raid on Lebanon by the IDF Air Force on the night of September 9.

However, this information has not yet been officially confirmed. Lebanese media outlet Lebanon24 reports that the nephew of the Hezbollah chief of staff was indeed killed, but not as a result of an airstrike. The cause of his death was a fight with the use of a bladed weapon that took place in Al-Uzai, one of the districts of Beirut. The young man was taken to the hospital, but they could not save him. Shukr, according to the media, became an accidental participant in the conflict while passing by.

At the same time, the media denies reports of his murder in Syria or Lebanon by IDF aircraft. Hussein Shukr’s funeral will take place at 16:00 in Beirut.

It should be noted that Hussein Shukr was the nephew of Fuad Shukr, who was killed by the IDF in early July 2024.

Earlier, “Cursor” reported that on the night of September 9, the IDF attacked Hezbollah facilities in southern Lebanon. The strikes were carried out in the area of Kafr Kila, At-Taybe, Hanina and Yarin. Warplanes attacked Hezbollah military structures in the area of Harbat Salem in southern Lebanon.
