The European Commission is investigating whether it ever dealt with the head of a Hungarian company linked to the production of pagers that exploded and injured thousands of Hezbollah terrorists.

The devices bore markings consistent with pagers made by Taiwanese firm Gold Apollo. However, the company itself stated that the AR-924 model used in the attacks was manufactured and sold by Hungarian company BAC Consulting, which had a license to use the Gold Apollo brand.

The LinkedIn profile of Cristiana Barsogne-Arcidiacono, CEO of BAC Consulting, states that she has experience working for the European Commission. However, European Commission spokesman Balazs Ujvari denied this information, saying that Barsogne-Arcidiacono “has no connection with the European Commission.”

“If this individual was ever involved in any of these activities, that’s not something I can answer right now, we’re checking, we’re looking into it,” he said.

Barsogne-Arcidiacono told NBC on Wednesday that her company had partnered with Gold Apollo but denied any involvement in the production of exploding pagers. She explained: “I don’t make pagers. I’m just a middleman. I think you’ve got the wrong idea.”

Earlier, Cursor reported that, according to information provided by a high-ranking source in the Lebanese security services and another source, the Israeli spy agency Mossad planted a small amount of explosives in 5,000 Taiwanese-made pagers that were ordered by the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah.

This happened several months before the explosions that happened the day before.
