Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris has accepted CNN’s offer to hold a second debate with Republican Donald Trump. Her campaign team says Harris is ready to face Trump again at a debate scheduled for October 23. CNN has confirmed that both candidates have been invited to participate in the event.

Trump, for his part, said it was too late to hold another debate. However, his campaign had not responded formally to CNN’s proposal at the time of publication.

The debate proposed by the network would last an hour and a half, with no studio audience. During the meeting, the candidates would answer questions from moderators. The proposal comes after the recent Trump-Harris debate on ABC News on September 11. After that debate, both candidates declared themselves winners.

Trump has previously made it clear that he does not intend to participate in additional debates with Harris, emphasizing this in a statement last week.

At the moment, 48% of respondents are ready to vote for Harris, while Donald Trump is gaining 45.9%.
