Today, the Lebanese news agency reported that Israel carried out a series of air strikes in southern Lebanon, near the town of Metula. The raids came about an hour after Hezbollah claimed to have used its new missile, the Fadi-3, for the first time.

The newspaper “Maariv” writes about this.

The Fadi-3 is the latest version of the Fadi missile, which was first used in the current conflict. Hezbollah has previously launched previous versions of the missile, the Fadi-1 and Fadi-2. According to information provided in videos released by Hezbollah, the Fadi-1 missile has a diameter of 220 mm, is about six meters long and carries a warhead weighing 83 kilograms. The stated range is 70 kilometers.

As for the Fadi-2 missile, Hezbollah claims that it has a diameter of 302 mm and is also six meters long, but its warhead is much more powerful – 170 kilograms. The range of this missile, according to representatives of the organization, can reach up to one hundred kilometers.

Boaz Shapira, of the Alma Research Center, noted that despite the new names, these missiles are not entirely new weapons. He stressed that Hezbollah had already used them during the Second Lebanon War in 2006. According to Shapira, the new names may indicate that these missiles are being produced locally in Lebanon, which probably makes them independent of Syrian production facilities.

Shapira also added that both types of missiles can be launched from both fixed and mobile platforms, making their deployment much easier and faster. Videos released by Hezbollah show the missiles being transported on light trucks, making their launches flexible and difficult to detect before or after launch.

A month ago, Hezbollah released another video showing a large plot of land owned by the organization. Experts say the video is intended to exert psychological pressure on Israel. It also showed trucks prepared to launch Imad-4 missiles, which can reach anywhere in Israel.

Earlier, Cursor reported that Iran had found the scapegoats in the pager story.

Iran has conducted its own investigation into the pager explosions in Lebanon and has said that two countries, not Israel, are responsible.
