Professor Gabi Ben-Dor, head of the national security program at the University of Haifa, expressed his opinion on the possible development of the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.

The newspaper “Maariv” writes about this.

He noted that two scenarios are possible in the future: either Israel will continue the successful operation, which has already led to a significant weakening of Hezbollah, or an attempt will be made to reach some kind of agreement. He said the operation had significantly reduced the group’s combat capabilities, especially in southern Lebanon, and destroyed part of its arsenal of long-range missiles.

According to Ben-Dor, Israel can increase pressure on Hezbollah to stop hostilities or continue massive strikes until the group loses the ability to actively resist. However, he stressed that this will require time, patience and endurance.

The professor also emphasized the importance of Israel’s strategic actions to restore calm in the north of the country. He added that Iran is interested in preserving Hezbollah’s precision missiles for future operations, but does not expect the group to decide on a full-scale war with Israel.

Earlier, Kursor wrote that the commander of Hezbollah’s missile forces was eliminated in Beirut.

The IDF continues to strike Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.

“Cursor” also wrote about why Israel does not start a war with Hezbollah, and whether it can be avoided.

According to the expert, the current air strikes are not the final solution.
