Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, speaking at the opening ceremony of the 3rd legislative year of the 28th Grand National Assembly of Turkey, sharply criticized Israel for its military operations in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip. He claims that after operations in these regions, the next Israeli target could be “Turkish lands.”
According to him, Israel is allegedly interested in realizing the idea of a “promised land.”
“Occupation, terror and aggression are already on our doorstep. “What we are facing is not a state, but a gang of murderers,” the Turkish President said in a statement.
Erdogan once again accused Israel of allegedly committing genocide in the Gaza Strip, and he called its operations against the terrorist group Hezbollah “terrorist attacks.”
The Turkish president assured that his country is ready to resist “Israeli aggression” by all available means.
Erdogan regularly makes anti-Israel statements, accusing Jerusalem of “war crimes” in the Gaza Strip. He is also trying, with the help of various international platforms, to force Israel to stop military operations in the enclave.
Despite being a NATO member, Turkey has repeatedly expressed support for Hamas.
