jpnn.comJAKARTA – Deputy General Chair for Law and Human Rights of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Dhaniswara K. Harjono considers the implementation of his organization’s Extraordinary National Conference (Munaslub) on Saturday (14/9) to be illegal.

“The implementation of the 2024 Extraordinary National Conference is without a quorum and is illegal,” Dhaniswara told the media crew in Jakarta, this Saturday.

He said that the Kadin Extraordinary National Conference on Saturday did not go through the stages required by the organization’s Articles of Association.

For example, said Dhaniswara, regarding the first and second warning letters as regulated in Article 18 of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Articles of Association/Bylaws.

Moreover, he continued, the number of Kadin at the provincial level and Extraordinary Members who do not meet the requirements to submit a Munaslub.

However, said Dhaniswara, as many as 21 of the 35 Kadin at the provincial level have rejected and stated that holding the Extraordinary National Conference on Saturday violates the organization’s rules.

He emphasized that the implementation of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Extraordinary National Conference is regulated in Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 18 of 2022, especially Article 18.

Based on this Article, an Extraordinary National Conference can only be held if there is a violation of the principles of the Articles of Association/Bylaws, misappropriation of the organization’s finances and treasury, or the Board of Directors is not functioning properly.

Deputy Chairman for Law and Human Rights of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dhaniswara K. Harjono, spoke out strongly against the implementation of the organization’s Munaslu.
