jpnn.com – MISANO – Marc Marquez showed his ingenuity and utilized his experience to win the San Marino MotoGP race in Misano, Sunday (8/9) evening WIB.
That’s what MotoGP legend Dani Pedrosa said.
“In the end, everyone saw that the smartest (in the San Marino race) was Marc. Everyone saw that Marquez was very clever, using his experience and cunning to challenge in the standings,” said Pedrosa.
Victory in the San Marino MotoGP race means Marc Marquez is now 53 points ahead of 2024 MotoGP standings leader Jorge Martin.
“He has to be considered in the title race. It (53 points) is not too far. He still has a chance,” said Pedrosa.
What did Marc say?
“I didn’t expect (to win the San Marino MotoGP race). I started from ninth position. Maybe, without the rain, it would have been impossible to fight with the top riders,” said Marquez.
After the San Marino MotoGP, the MotoGP series will continue at the same circuit; Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, with a different title, namely the Emilia Romagna MotoGP on September 20-22.
Dani Pedrosa believes that Marc Marquez is very worthy of being considered as a candidate for the 2024 MotoGP champion.
