2024 Grape Harvest in France Expected to Be Smaller

Champagne, Burgundy, Alsace, Bordeaux… Not a single vineyard should escape production restrictions in 2024, according to initial estimates from Agreste, the statistical body of the Ministry of Agriculture. Across the nation, production is expected to range between 40 and 43 million hectoliters, lower than 2023 and the average of the past five years.
Winemaker Jérôme Despey, first vice president of FNSEA, provided the estimates.
