2024 Grape Harvest in France Expected to Be Smaller

Champagne, Burgundy, Alsace, Bordeaux… Not a single vineyard should escape production restrictions in 2024,​ according to initial estimates ‍from Agreste, ⁢the ‍statistical body of the Ministry ⁤of Agriculture.‍ Across the nation, production is expected to range​ between 40​ and 43 million ​hectoliters, lower than 2023 and the average of the past ‌five years.

Winemaker‌ Jérôme Despey, first vice president of FNSEA, provided​ the estimates.
