The 2024 Women’s Six Nations Tournament will begin on the weekend of March 23-24 and culminate in the traditional ‘super Saturday’ on April 27, which will see the two star nations of England and France meet in closing, its organizers announced on Thursday. “Thanks to the fact that the competition has (since 2021, editor’s note) its own window in the sports calendar and extensive television coverage“, the enthusiasm for the Women’s Tournament is growing and “our commitment is to continue this growth“says the Six Nations committee in a press release.
For the 2023 edition, which begins this weekend, 157 countries will be able to see the matches of the competition, on television or via streaming platforms. According to the organizers, more than eleven million viewers watched the matches of the 2022 Women’s Tournament.
Next year, the competition will begin on March 23 with a match between France and Ireland and will continue for five weekends, until its conclusion on April 27 with the probable “final” between Les Bleues and the “Red Roses”.
