NBA All-Star Game 2026: Rosters Revealed for Groundbreaking USA vs. World Format
The National Basketball Association unveiled the full rosters for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game on Sunday night, announcing the 14 reserves who will join the previously selected starters for the league’s reimagined showcase. The All-Star Weekend, scheduled for February 13-15 at the Intuit Dome in los Angeles, will debut a new “USA vs. The World” format, replacing the customary Eastern vs. Western Conference matchup.
The shift marks a significant departure for the annual exhibition, aiming to inject fresh excitement and global appeal into the event. According to an NBA release, the game will feature three eight-player teams – two comprised of American players and one representing the rest of the world – competing in a round-robin tournament of 12-minute games. The composition of the American teams could limit the number of other international players eligible for the World team.
Currently, the list of potential international players includes Luka Dončić, Nikola Jokić, Victor Wembanyama, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jamal Murray, Pascal Siakam, and Deni Avdija. However, Antetokounmpo’s participation is now in doubt after sustaining a calf injury last weekend, perhaps sidelining him for the 2026 All-Star Game.
