2026 World Cup qualifiers: 7 African teams play their matches in Morocco

Casablanca – Seven African teams will play their matches in Morocco for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) announced on Thursday.

“The FRMF has responded favorably to the request of several teams to organize their 2026 World Cup qualifying matches in the Kingdom of Morocco,” the Federation said on its website.

This initiative comes “in application of the provisions of the partnership and cooperation agreements linking the FRMF to several African associations,” underlines the same source.

Here are the scheduled matches:

– November 15:

8:00 p.m.: Ethiopia – Sierra Leone (El-Abdi Stadium – El Jadida).

– November 17:

2:00 p.m.: Guinea – Uganda (Municipal Stadium – Berkane)

8:00 p.m.: Burkina Faso – Guinea Bissau (Grand Stade de Marrakech)

– November 18:

5:00 p.m.: Niger – Tanzania (Grand Stade de Marrakech)

– November 20:

8:00 p.m.: Chad – Madagascar (Stade d’Honneur – Oujda)

– November 21st:

2:00 p.m.: Somalia – Uganda (Municipal Stadium – Berkane)

17:00: Sao Tome – Namibia (Grand Aadir Stadium)

8:00 p.m.: Ethiopia – Burkina Faso (El Abdi Stadium – El Jadida)
