Saudi Arabia has progressed in the field of sports with time. Their focus is on football. This time they have also taken the responsibility of organizing World Cup football. Their name was already known as the host of the 2024 Football World Cup. Now their plans around the World Cup have come to light.

The 2034 Football World Cup is going to be the biggest tournament in the history of the World Cup. 48 teams will participate in this event. After a decade, this event will be held in 15 stadiums in five cities of Saudi Arabia. This was reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the state media of Saudi Arabia.

It is reported that 8 of the 15 stadiums are in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The remaining 7 stadiums will be located in the four cities of Jeddah, Al Khobar, Abha and the new city of Neom worth 500 billion dollars.

Saudi has taken the responsibility of organizing this FIFA event alone. They have no partner. The Middle East country is hosting according to the FIFA bid document. According to the bid document, Saudi Arabia will need 14 stadiums with a capacity of at least 40,000 spectators to host the 48-team World Cup.

Currently, there are two stadiums in Saudi Arabia with a capacity of 40,000 spectators. The first is King Abdullah Stadium in Jeddah and the second is King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh. Meanwhile, Fahad Stadium is still under construction. The country is awaiting the construction of the remaining 13 stadiums as per FIFA’s requirements.

King Salman Stadium will be ready for the opening and final matches of the World Cup. However, its construction work has not yet started. The audience capacity of this stadium will be more than twice the FIFA requirement ie 92 thousand. The oil-rich country is organizing the ‘Greatest Show on Earth’ with a big plan.
