Karur: 21.10 mm of rain has fallen at Palavidhu near Kadavur in Karur district.

In the district, up to 8:00 am yesterday, the details of the rainfall in the last 24 hours (in mm,) Khulithalai, 4, Krishnarayapuram, 6, Mayanur, 10, Panchapatti, 16.4, Kadavur, 8.5, Palaviduthi, 21.10, Mayilambatti , 6.4 rain fell. An average rainfall of 6.3 mm was recorded across the district.

As of 6:00 am yesterday morning, only 1,485 cubic feet per second of water was received in the Cauvery river. All that water was left open. In four irrigation canals, water supply was stopped.
