The CBI has filed a case against 21 people in connection with the West Bengal violence. CBI officials have set up camp in the Rampurad area where the violence took place and are investigating.

Badhu Sheikh, deputy chief of the Poshal village panchayat, was killed on Monday (March 21) night in the Rampurad area of ​​Bebohum district in West Bengal.

Subsequently, 8 houses were set on fire in Bokdui village in the area. Eight people, including two children and eight women, were killed in the incident.

The violence has been condemned by various quarters. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said that the culprits will be given due punishment.

Meanwhile, CBI officials have set up a makeshift camp in the Ramburad area in connection with the Birbhum violence. The CBI has said that 21 people have been convicted in the ongoing probe led by senior officer Akhilesh Singh.

On July 7, the Kolkata High Court had directed CBI officials to conduct an inquiry into the Rampur riots.
