The American rapper 21 Savage has canceled his performance scheduled for today at the Super Bock Super Rock (SBSR) festival, “due to illness,” announced the promoter Música no Coração, which organizes the festival taking place until Saturday, near Meco, in Sesimbra.
Papillon, the rapper Rui Pereira, “one of the great talents of new Portuguese music,” will take 21 Savage’s place on the main stage of the festival tonight, reinforcing national presence and preceding the performance of headliner Slow J.
Daily tickets for today “will also be valid for Saturday, the 20th, and it is enough to keep the ticket and present it at the entrance,” adds the promoter.
In case they choose for a refund, holders of tickets dated July 19 “can request it starting next Monday, the 22nd, “until August 18, at the location where they purchased it and upon presentation of the valid and unused ticket,” adds Música no Coração.
The concert of 21 Savage, who was making his debut in Portugal on the second day of the 28th SBSR festival, taking place at the Herdade da Cabeça da Flauta, was part of the tour for the album American Dream, released earlier this year.
This Friday, on the main stage of the SBSR, in addition to Papillon, Mahalia, Slow J, and DJ Black Coffee will also perform. The lineup for the second day of the festival also includes performances by Kenny Mason, Mabel, Aminé, Gryffin, Yen Sung, and Chromeo, in DJ set format.
To reach the festival, the organization recommends using public transport. Until Saturday, the organization is providing free buses to Meco beach, between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. More information about the 28th edition of SBSR can be found on the festival’s official website at www.superbocksuperrock.pt.
