“It’s hard to convey my feelings and emotions when I first came to Baku and performed on the historical stage of the Heydar Aliyev Palace! Everything was very beautiful, friendly, like a magnet, I was immediately drawn to it, apparently, the call of the blood (laughs) – music, cuisine, relationships, mentality … Our relatives from Azerbaijan constantly sent us national sweets, and I really liked baklava. Since childhood, my father (my mother is Belarusian), who comes from Devechi (now Shabran), told me about Azerbaijan, traditions and culture, but everything somehow it was not possible to come here together. Unfortunately, my father passed away five years ago…” said Samir.

According to him, the Days of Belarusian Culture in Azerbaijan are a landmark event for people to get to know each other better. He noted that everything went at a high level.

“In Belarus there are talented Azerbaijani creative personalities who perform successfully and at the same time represent their culture and art with dignity. I really like Azerbaijani music, especially mugham, and in the future I would like to synthesize it with Belarusian national or pop music. Our performances were very warmly received, incredible positive and friendly energy came from the audience. Incredible feeling! And if possible, I will come here again and again,” added Samir.
