2100 applications from Azerbaijan are expected to be considered at the European Court of Human Rights

By early May, the European Court of Human Rights is expected to consider 2,100 applications from Azerbaijan, the organization’s website reports.

This is 2.7 percent of all complaints pending investigation at the Strasbourg court, lawyer Khalid Agaliyev said.

“At the end of 2022, there were 2150 applications from Azerbaijan at the European Court of Human Rights. In the last 4 months, the court announced decisions on 140 cases from Azerbaijan,” Agaliyev said.

In total, 76,700 applications should be processed at the European Court of Human Rights, at the end of 2022, their number was 74,650 applications.

23 thousand 250 of the pending complaints were sent from Turkey. Then comes Russia – 15,700 and Ukraine – 9,950.
